A Nigerian man has stirred conversation on social media after revealing the surprising reply he got from a woman he accidentally rang on Snapchat during the night. According to reports, his attempt to apologise was met with a demand for ₦100,000 before she would even hear him out.

The man explained that the late-night call was a genuine mistake, and that he later messaged the lady to say sorry for disturbing her. In an effort to make peace, he reportedly asked what he could do to compensate for the inconvenience.

Her answer, delivered in a voice note, was not what he expected. She accused him of deliberately trying to catch her attention after spotting an attractive woman online, and questioned why he had not introduced himself properly or simply asked for her account details instead of calling out of nowhere at that hour.

“So you want to get my attention because you have seen a fine girl, but your brain didn’t tell you to request my account number, and you decided to just call me out of the blue by this time of the night. If you want to make it up to me, send 100k to my account, then I’ll calm down to listen to you. Otherwise, everything you are saying is bullshit,” she reportedly said.

She insisted that without the payment, nothing he said would matter to her. Rather than push back, the man apologised again for the mistaken call and posted the exchange online, where it quickly attracted attention.
