According to reports, the clip shows both parents openly rejecting the new look, with his father eventually walking out of the room and his mother insisting the braids had to go.

Son’s Stitch Braids Spark Parental Disapproval

In the video, reportedly posted online, the man walked up to his parents in the living room and confidently showed off his new stitch braids. His mother’s disapproval was instant, while his father initially said nothing, only speaking after his son directly asked whether they liked the style.

The father’s response was pointed. He recalled a sermon the family had heard in church, saying it described the traits of a wayward child, and made it clear he was unhappy with his son’s appearance. He added that the only thing that would restore his peace of mind was seeing the braids taken out.

The son tried to calm the situation, telling his parents it was just hair, but neither of them budged. When he pressed his father again on whether the style suited him, his mother cut in, questioning how braids could ever look good on a man. Visibly upset, the father then got up and left the sitting room, saying he could no longer stand looking at the hairstyle.

The man attempted to soften his mother with an affectionate approach, but she held firm, telling him that if he genuinely loved his parents, he would make them happy by loosening the braids.
