Cynthia Morgan Blasts VeryDarkMan Over His Role in the P-Square Family Feud

Dancehall singer Cynthia Morgan has launched a blistering attack on online activist VeryDarkMan (VDM), questioning his credibility over his involvement in the P-Square family dispute. In a strongly worded Instagram post, the singer accused him of squandering a chance to broker peace between the Okoye brothers and advised him to seek formal education rather than online attention.

Morgan, a long-standing critic of music executive Jude Okoye following her own fallout with him, took aim at VDM after he waded into the Okoye family conflict. She challenged whether the activist had made any genuine effort to settle the matter, writing: “The false fearless man claims he found out Peter was lying to him after he spoke to the other parties involved and then you decided to start avoiding him. My question is are you even a man of resolution? Cause to me you lost the opportunity to resolve the biggest quarrel in Afrobeats by not confronting Peter and you shouldn’t be proud of it”.

In her caption, she added a pointed jab: “I told you to go to school in private so you can turn your false confidence to something productive but you don’t listen. You see how you’re fooling yourself in public?”.

According to reports, the friction between the pair predates this outburst. Morgan had previously accused VDM of switching sides after she rebuffed his attempts at friendship, alleging he first approached her about a collaboration through his foundation before asking personal questions and making late-night calls she considered inappropriate.

How VDM Became Entangled in Afrobeats’ Most Public Family Dispute

VDM, whose real name is Martins Vincent Otse, had claimed that Peter Okoye confided in him about the family’s troubles more than a year earlier. He later announced his withdrawal from the saga, reportedly assigning about 40 percent of the blame to Jude Okoye for refusing to step down as manager, while accusing Peter of trying to use him as a tool in the dispute.

The activist had also pledged up to N50 million of his own money to fund an independent probe into Morgan’s catalogue earnings, disputing Jude’s claim that her music generated only $4.6 million between 2015 and 2024. He subsequently issued a public apology, admitting Jude had “lied and deceived” him. Morgan has not responded to that apology, but her latest remarks suggest she remains unmoved by his intervention.
