Blaqbonez Sues Odumodublvck for ₦2 Billion Over Defamation
Blaqbonez Files ₦2 Billion Defamation Suit Against Odumodublvck
Rapper Blaqbonez has reportedly taken legal action against fellow artist Odumodublvck, whose full name is Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, demanding ₦2 billion in general damages. According to reports first shared by Albumtalks, the claim centres on allegations of defamation, harassment, threats and damage to his reputation, as set out in a legal memorandum dated July 7, 2026.
Inside Blaqbonez’s Legal Action Against Odumodublvck
The memorandum, prepared by Blaqbonez’s legal representatives at Punuka Attorneys Solicitors, reportedly accuses Odumodublvck of running a prolonged campaign of defamatory posts, intimidation and threatening behaviour online. The lawyers argue this conduct has harmed both the rapper’s public standing and his business interests, stating in the document that their client “has suffered and continues to suffer significant loss and damage as a direct consequence of your unlawful conduct.”
Central to the suit are claims that Odumodublvck repeatedly published or amplified posts describing Blaqbonez as a “sexual abuser” and a “sexual abusing bastard” — statements the legal team characterises as false, malicious and defamatory.
Beyond the ₦2 billion in general damages, the filing reportedly asks the court for a perpetual injunction blocking further defamatory publications or threats, the deletion of all offending posts across Odumodublvck’s social media platforms, and a public retraction and apology to be pinned on his verified accounts for at least 30 consecutive days. It also seeks a notice instructing his supporters not to harass Blaqbonez, ₦500 million in aggravated damages over the alleged repeated and malicious nature of the posts, and ₦50 million in legal costs.
The document additionally references claims of assault, battery, unlawful interference and threats to Blaqbonez’s safety — allegations that have not yet been tested in court. Odumodublvck had not publicly responded to the suit at the time of reporting.
How This Dispute Impacts Nigerian Hip-Hop
Both Blaqbonez and Odumodublvck rank among the most visible names in Nigerian rap, and a dispute of this scale between two prominent artists is certain to dominate conversation across the music community. Defamation suits involving public figures typically hinge on whether contested statements can be proven false and harmful, and outcomes can take considerable time to resolve. For now, the claims represent Blaqbonez’s side of the matter, and the case remains before the courts.
